{ Hello world ! }
I am a Portuguese chemist, historian and philosopher of science.
I have a PhD in AI & data-driven chemistry by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology – Portugal Program at the LAQV-REQUIMTE Lab - University of Porto, Portugal. I work with Data Science for Computational Chemistry at HOLOSS Research, developing Artificial Intelligence methods towards chemical property and reaction predictions.
I collaborate as a Visiting Researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History, Portugal, studying chemical explanation in philosophy of science and chemistry’s role in the rise of science-based regulation, with implications for contemporary “fake science” and misinformation.
I am also a Fulbright Scholar with the University of California (Irvine) and regularly write about science communication and public understanding of science.
